The Better Part
My name is Paula Rush. I am a catechist and formation leader with the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, an approach to faith formation for children (and adults, too, truth be told!) For four years, I have published weekly Gospel reflections for children for each of three age groups (thebetterpart.net). Switching gears now, I am making these reflections available as a podcast.
Each week, select the reflection suitable for the developmental age of your child. We listen first to the Gospel reading for the coming Sunday, (or a portion of it if it is quite long). Then we take our time with the Word, moving through it slowly, wondering what it might mean.

(Note: I mention "4 days" in this reflection. I realize that there is another legitimate way of counting the days and that St. Luke probably writes "after 3 days" for a theological reason, but I think 4 days works for the 6-9 year old :) ).
